About the area

Ipoh's Old Town grew rich on tin in the late 1800s, and its coffee shops have been feeding the city ever since. This is the home of Ipoh white coffee, silky flat rice noodles and some of Malaysia's smoothest tau fu fa, served in kopitiams that still keep their marble tables and early hours.
